We are looking for a warm and secure educator for a part-time position as a preschool assistant!

Montessori Preschool Tusenkedjan is seeking a preschool assistant with Montessori experience for a part-time position. Our lovely and personal preschool is located in quiet residential areas, just a stone's throw from Huddinge center and the commuter train station.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified preschool assistant and has training in Montessori pedagogy and/or practical experience working with Montessori as a teaching method.

• Has at least 1 year of experience working as a qualified preschool assistant.

• Communicates well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

• Has a commitment and interest in children's development and learning.

About the role and responsibilities 

As a preschool assistant, you are expected to actively participate in planning the educational activities according to the preschool's curriculum and goals. You are engaged and actively participate in the daily work to ensure that the preschool operates smoothly. This includes, for example, helping and supporting children in their various routine situations such as dressing and undressing, meals, hygiene routines including toilet visits, and nap time for the youngest. All with Montessori pedagogy as a guiding star where your role is to support, inspire, and guide the children in their own development.

To thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who is attentive and has the ability to create good relationships with both children and colleagues as well as guardians. You are confident in your role, have a structure for planning and teaching, and are solution-oriented. You will work in a team with Montessori teachers, Montessori assistants, preschool assistants, and the principal. As a colleague, you are expected to contribute to a pleasant working atmosphere through good cooperation skills, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to your work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

About the preschool 

Montessori Preschool Tusenkedjan is run as a parent cooperative by engaged parents who collaborate with the principal and other staff. The preschool is located in a large detached villa in quiet neighborhoods about a 10-minute walk from Huddinge Center and the commuter train station. Tusenkedjan's goal is to have small groups of children with high staff density. Currently, we have 32 children divided into two departments; Pärlan 1-3 years and Kuben 3-6 years. All meals are prepared from scratch on-site at the preschool by our own chef. We work according to Montessori pedagogy and follow the preschool curriculum while also having a strong environmental focus regarding, for example, a toxin-free preschool.

We offer 

The position is a part-time position with hours as needed (in case of illness of regular staff, etc.). Start date according to agreement, preferably as soon as possible after March 1, 2026.
